Is this intentional?

While the game can be addictive and fun, but sometimes when I am making actually progress by swiping up/down, it goes the opposite way instead, making me fail as if its on purpose. For example sometimes when I swipe up, it goes down instead or vice versa. This has happened for a few times and I have confirmed it myself that it isnt my mistake. This frustrated me so much to the extent it made me angry and rage quit!
